Pardo Night 2k17

Another event that we do every year is the Pardo Night. We have the Pardo Night to also celebrate the fiesta in Pardo. Fortunately this year, it didn't rain during the event unlike last year. A lot of students also participated the event. This year's theme was Malakas at Maganda. Psalm Aquino and Lyka Omnes portrayed Malakas and Maganda during the pardo night. There were a lot of different performances, like the spoken poetry by Dominic Ceballos. The dance club members also performed some folk dances.

To close the program, Asianistas danced to ACT's logo song, Fly High.

Field Demo 2k17

Every Foundation Month of ACT, we can't forget about the field demo. Last year's theme was festivals in Cebu. This year's theme was "When history seats like techno". The elementary students used the evolution of humans from monkeys as the story of their dance. Meanwhile in the JHS department, their story was about different countries colonizing our country, Philippines.

This year, us, the grade 9 students portrayed the Japanese occupation.

I was able to have fun with the field demo this year. It was fun making our props together with my classmates.  This event will definitely be treasured in my memories.

Nutrition Month 2017

Introducing one of the most looked to event of the school year, Nutrition Month. "Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit is the theme for Nutrition Month 2017. Just like last year, we had a daily trivia to liven up the mood of the students every morning. And of course if we're talking about Nutrition Month in ACT, we shouldn't forget about the Nutrition Jingle.

Last July 28, 2017 we held our Nutrition Month Culminating Activity. First, we started the event with a parade inside the campus.

After the parade we  had a zumba. The zumba was lead by Sir Dan together with the rest of the JHS faculty.

After the zumba, the Nutri-Chef then started. The participants gathered at the quadrangle for the Nutri-Chef. I myself was one of the participants. It was really a great experience for me because it was my first time to cook something on the spot. My teammates and I luckily thought of a recipe on the spot. Unfortunately we didn't get the first place, but it was okay because we had fun cooking.

After the Nutri-Chef, we were given some time to relax. Around 1 pm the event resumed to start the Ms.&Mr. Healthy. The program started with a performance from the participants of the contest and one by one introduce their selves. Each of them were also representing a fruit. My classmate Thessalonica Mayol, our representative for Ms. Healthy, represented watermelon together with her partner Angelo Loranas (picture below).

After the introduction, the judges picked the top 5 from the girls and another top 5 from the boys. The ten of them competed for the Q & A portion. After, the Q & A portion, they announced the winners and gave out special awards. The Ms. & Mr. Healthy this year is Thessalonica (grade 9) and  Ricardo (grade 10).
